Junior Interior Designer - Project Specialist

The Role:

Are you intrigued by how spaces are designed and do you love restaurants?  We are seeking a Project Specialist who loves to brainstorm, research and source for the perfect item for the perfect space. You can manage people, personalities and vendors and are you so organized that you never miss deadlines.  Thriving in an entrepreneurial and team environment is a must. Join our team!

 

Responsibilities:

Select and Manage FFE items

  • Place orders with manufacturers/reps
  • Send necessary info to custom manufacturers for banquettes/roll downs/shades/any custom items
  • Track and submit invoices
  • See orders through to delivery

Manage Receiving Warehouses

  • Take care of quotes, contracts, and install
  • Have all deliveries checked for quantity and damage

Keep Contact with Manufacturer Reps

  • Stay informed on interiors specifications– changes, updates, additions, lead times
  • Find new products based on need and/or new availability

Check Designers Specifications

  • Check spec books for realistic price, product, and lead time
  • Verify quantities and layouts for correctness and our preferred norms
  • Find alternates when necessary

Submit Spec Books

  • Create spec books for stores that FRC designs

Closeout Projects

  • Attend installs when needed
  • Purchase any necessary accessories/items the store needs after install

 

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of similar or related experience
  • Bachelors in Interior Design or related field, or in the process of obtaining Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketch Up , Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Design portfolio at interview
