The Role


The Marketing Director is responsible for overseeing all brand development, new store openings and local store marketing. The position requires strong branding management, organization, creativity, industry knowledge, planning, production, and partnership experience to ensure all projects are concepted and executed with exceptional quality and efficiency.




  • Maintain and develop the brand standards and tonality of the Brands under direction of the VP of Marketing
    • Ensure all creative is representative of the Brands
    • Ensure messaging and “Voice” is evolved and consistent with Brand philosophies
    • Ongoing development of brands with respect to focus on menu and seasonal menu changes
    • Ensure participating events are in line with brand philosophies
  • Partner with VP of Marketing to develop annual Marketing plan to enhance each brand and meet sales goals.
    • Manage sales analysis and insight for the brands to determine marketing effort needs
    • Facilitate annual budget planning and management with FRC Director of Marketing & VP Marketing
  • Plan and execute marketing strategy for all operating locations
    • Develop plan in partnership with FRC VP Ops, Regional Director, VP Marketing, and Brand Manager based on brand development and position plan as well as sales goals
    • Ensure each store has relevant PR resources available for store specific goals
    • Oversee planning for digital marketing efforts working with FRC Digital Director
    • Marketing strategy for new menu items with SS Marketing Manager and Brand Manager
    • Develop annual events calendar for events in-store and off-site through partnership with Regional and Culinary team
    • Visit store locations as much as possible to oversee execution of marketing programs to ensure store teams are an extension of the marketing support team
    • Work with Brand Manager to develop and execute a media plan for the year
    • Understand sales trends and areas of opportunity to develop annual marketing plans and make strategic adjustments to those plans based on specific sales needs
    • Measure qualitative and quantitative results of LSM marketing programs
  • Agency Management
    • Provide direction to the Digital Director and Digital Agency so that brand goals are met
    • Provide strategic direction for all media buys
    • Select and provide strategic direction to all PR agencies
    • Provide strategic direction to Creative Agency partner
  • New Store Openings
    • Partner with the VP of Marketing to develop opening strategies that set growth brands up for national / scalable expansion
    • Develop opening marketing plan for each location
    • Travel and become familiar with new markets
    • Execute successful launch plan for all NSO including building market share, new guest acquisition, building brand equity, and meeting sales goals
    • Work with Recruiting & HR Teams to develop and execute successful NSO hiring plan
    • Oversee development of Digital marketing pre-post opening plan
    • Oversee development of project advertising plans for pre-post needs
    • Work with Creative Agency to support development and fulfillment of new store and new market designs, as well as support agency in creation of store signage and capital expenditure package
    • Work with the FRC brand team in aligning your growth brands with our overarching national exposure / PR goals
  • Facilitate all local store requests utilizing in-house and external resources to develop quality and efficient marketing materials.
    • Work with FRC Project Manager to execute all local store marketing material needs including collateral templates, new designs, and promotional materials



  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role either in-house/corporate side or within an agency. Restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional skills in developing and executing 360 degree marketing programs and brand development
  • Ability to work with range of personalities and skills to achieve objectives
  • High attention to detail, deadlines, and budget
  • High level of adherence to deadlines, solutions-orientated, and ability to be nimble/respond quickly and positively to change
  • Hold exceptional written, editing and verbal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic team player willing to “roll up your sleeves” to help team achieve goal
  • Travel is required
  • Strong commitment and knowledge base of culinary, restaurants and hospitality areas
